Reflection

Hi blog,

I was studying drugs & society. & the penalty for illegal trafficking/importing/exporting cocaine is death.

This made me think: people who are carrying out these activities probably have no other way out, it is their last resort and it's do or die because you simply can't defy your orders. So they will still do what they are told despite knowing that by law, they will lose their life upon being apprehended by the police.

So what's the point of death sentence? It doesn't deter people from engaging in illegal activities because their ultimate outcome is the same. & the culprit just need to die. No effort on his part. No responsibility undertaken. Just that 3 minutes of suffocation to redeem his misdeeds with his life.

What an easy way out.
